Mongia, a Tunisian national, has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1982.

Mongia started her professional career in 1977 in Belfast as a French Teaching Assistant and then moved into the world of trading where she played a key role in successfully establishing a trade route between the UK and North Africa. In 1980, she was in Qatar assisting the Minister or Public Health, focusing on media relations and administration liaison with the Emir’s offices.

In 1982, Mongia moved to Hong Kong with her family. She first worked as a Legal Secretary with Club Med, assisting in the negotiations and contract drafting for resorts planning in the Asia Pacific region. She later joined Credit Lyonnais for two years and then transferred to UBAF, a subsidiary of Credit Lyonnais, where she worked for twelve years assisting the Managing Director, covering correspondent banking and marketing tasks. Mongia was also involved in recovering debts, business development as well as office management.

In 1996 she moved to the executive search arena, first with Corporate Connections and then with Boyden International, where she played an integral part in successfully delivering executive talents to clients in sectors ranging from banking and insurance, luxury goods, garment and textiles, building products, container terminals, plastic injection molding, beverages and pharmaceuticals. In 2002, Mongia was invited to join Xecutive, where she was soon promoted to Search Director, focusing on the logistics industry, and has since established herself exclusively in that industry. Her network of connections stretches from Asia to Africa. She has successfully assisted global freight forwarders in recruiting regional CEO’s as well as middle to senior level executives covering Air, Sea and Logistics as well as non-core functional roles such as HR, CIO’s and CFO’s. While still at Xecutive, Mongia was the representative in Asia Pacific of Experts for Experts (e4e), the global logistics consulting firm headquartered in Switzerland. By 2007, Mongia’s success enticed StantonChase International, the 10th global player in executive search to set up an independent Global Logistics Practice which she led in APAC.

In September 2007 Mongia founded her own company, Mongia Executive Search Ltd, later changing it’s name to Experts for Experts (Far East) Ltd. Mongia is the e4e partner for Hong Kong.

Mongia is fluent in French, English and Arabic. She holds a BA in English literature and an MBA majoring in Marketing. She is married and has two children.
